In addition to standard procurement requirements:

  • Deep understanding of procurement practices within the industry or sector
  • Deep understanding of supply chain and vendor interactions
  • Deep understanding of quoting, bidding, and negotiation tactics
  • Solid understanding of spend management and finance
  • Experience with Supply Chain Management

Many positions now require at least:

  • Good knowledge of U.S. Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations, sanctions, embargos, and screening requirements
  • Good knowledge of Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) EAR regulations, screening, and licensing requirements
  • Good knowledge of Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) ITAR regulations, screening, and licensing requirements
